Skincare And Makeup. Tips And Tricks On How To Become Expert

2:34 AM

So, me and my friend joined our knowledge together. She is a certified skincare expert and I am expert in make up world. So today we are creating one simple blog post, which contains some knowledge you should definitely know as a woman, about skincare and make up.

So, let’s start with some skincare basics, shall we? The first thing you should know – keep your face and skin clean, but don’t over-clean it! Wash your face in the morning and before bed. That’s all. You don’t need to wash it 4-5 times a day. A lot of girls think, if you wash your face constantly it will become clean and their pimples, pores and everything will be gone. No. Your face (and body) has a natural protection, and you just wash it off. That way you have more chances to get pimples.
Wash your face with warm water. Don’t use cold water in the mornings, because it helps to wake up. Use gentle face wash in the mornings and a little harder one before bed. After washing your face, don’t rub it, but pat dry with a towel.
Next up, are some tips for moisturizing and prepping your skin for make up. To even out your skintone and smooth your skin in the mornings, use a soft, mild cleanser. Then use moisturizer, to moisturize your skin. If you have oily skin, before that use toner. Apply it and wait for it to dry.

Primer

Now your face is ready for make up. Before applying it, always use primer. It helps prep your skin for make up (again), make up won’t get in your pores and it will smooth out your skin. Different primers are for different skin types and for different effects. If you have oily skin, choose one which has a matt finish. But if your skin is dry, take one who moisturizes and softens it. There are lots of primer formulas out there. They all help make up last longer and help your skin. Choose your primer according to your skin type.
Some of the best primers out there are of course high-end primers. One of the best drugstore options is Maybelline Baby Skin Primer and I also like Essence primer. They are good with all skin types and they work just fine.

Foundation and consealer

When buying foundation, it’s best to ask help. When you are at store and don’t know your exact color, ask employees to help you. They are there for you. They will color match you and tell you exactly which foundation and color to get.
Even now I have about 5 full foundation bottles with colors that are too dark for me. Just because I was afraid to ask. Don’t be! Go ahead and ask. This is just one time. After that, when  you know your exact match on one foundation, you can match others on this website!!! This will give you matches on other foundation brands according to your one match.
Matching consealer is easier. Choose one or two shades lighter that your foundation. Most brands have about 3-5 consealer  shades. That way it’s easier to choose.
Apply your foundation and consealer with beauty blender or sponge.  I recommend Real Techniques sponge. It’s much cheaper then Beauty Blender and works just fine.

Eyes

There is not much to say about applying eyeshadows. Apply how you like them. But don’t forget blending! Well blended eyeshadow looks the best. Start with light shade, best in your skin color. Then choose the crease color to be your transition shade. After that you can apply any eyeshadow you want and create a various looks. Just rememmber to blend well!
Use mascara to coat and seperate every lash. This will give your lashes thick and healthy look. Naturally you would use black mascara, right? However, there are lots of different mascara colors on the market these days. Don’t be afraid to use brown mascara sometimes. It will give you more natural look, but still keeping the attention to your eyes.
Color in your eyebrows with pencil, one shade lighter then your brow/hair color. Use fine, light strokes to make them look natural. After that use brow mascara, to make them stay in place, all day long.
Eyeliner. Use whatever eyeliner color that suits you. Everyday – black, but when going out you can try different eyeliners to achieve different looks. I personally really like maroon and dark blue eyeliners. If you are not an expert, when applying your line – keep practicing. You will find your way to an easy and perfect eyeliner. I learned to do my eyeliner by watching Youtube videos, and you can too.
So, let’s call this one a part one. Because there are lots of things to talk about, but it would be long of a blog post.

Hope you enjoyed this one and took something away from it! :) I will definitely write a part 2 in the future.

Pin it for later!
